Sing Shack, my studio, was built in 2017, but I’ve actually been teaching since 2007 and performing professionally since 2000 – averaging between one-hundred and two-hundred shows per year, plus studio recording sessions. This has given me time-spent, real-world experience and as I continue to perform my experience is always up-to-date.
After many years of hard work, and an excellent reputation in the music industry, I was lucky enough to be asked to represent the UK at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. We only managed to finish 24th, but the experience of performing to a venue audience of 16,000 people, and a television audience of 200million people was incredible and provided me with more skills to pass on.
During the build-up for the Eurovision Song Contest, I appeared on some of Britain’s best loved TV programmes, such as The Graham Norton Show. I’ve performed live on BBC Radio 1 & Radio 2, and I’ve toured the world, performing live to audiences numbering tens of thousands.
For students wishing to take their vocal grade exams, I have a long association with RockSchool, but have worked with other exam boards such as ABRSM and Trinity.
“If you want to learn to sing, the Shack’s where it’s at!”
I look forward to working with you soon!
